biological phenomena and healthcare settings, based on fundamental medical knowledge,
and master the areas of business administration, economics, law, and industrial policies

Food and nutrition is a future-oriented field of study that involves exploring and applying related knowledge to promote people’s health and quality of life. The Department of Food and Nutrition helps students gain an understanding of relevant principles and actual practices, based on lectures, experiments, and practicums, thereby turning them into professionals who can help promote healthy diets and create a healthy society.

The Department of Pharmaceutical Engineering has incorporated pharmaceutical formulation engineering and biotechnology for new drug production and quality control in order to nurture professionals for the well-being industry, which consists of pharmaceuticals, traditional Korean medicine formulations, and functional food and cosmetics and is viewed as the top value added industry of the 21st century.

Physical therapy involves restoring, maintaining, or promoting physical
functions. The department fosters healthcare professionals who are capable of providing
rehabilitation services, based on evaluation, therapy, prevention and health promotion
centering on scientific theories.

Protecting people’s health based on accurate diagnosis!
Clinical pathology is a discipline in which theories and skills related
to medical examinations and tests providing the necessary information for diagnosis and
treatment are acquired.
The Department of Clinical Pathology offers courses on
natural sciences, basic and applied biotechnology, basic medicine, and clinical
pathology examination, with a focus on fundamental knowledge of chemistry, genetics,
molecular biology, immunology, and microbiology for running tests using blood, tissue,
and bodily fluid samples.
Driving the advancement of Korean medicine!
Students of the Department of Korean Medicine Engineering study nanotechnology, biotechnology, electronic engineering, and computer information science to promote the scientific development and globalization of traditional Korean medicine. In order to better prepare for an aging society, the department is also endeavoring to develop new technologies such as medical devices that can be applied in traditional Korean medicine and modern medicine and medical devices for seniors, in addition to pioneering new industries.

The Department of Occupational Therapy aims to foster experts in rehabilitation therapy who are capable of preventing disabilities, promoting health, and providing therapy and training through physical activities using various tools. They can help assist people, who are suffering from a physical or mental impairment caused by an illness or accident resulting from environmental changes such as industrialization and aging, to engage in everyday activities as independently as possible and actively partake in social activities so as to enjoy greater happiness in life.
Providing community care through rehabilitation counselors and psychological therapists!
The Department of Rehabilitation Counseling specializes in “rehabilitation” and “therapy,” with the aim of fostering professionals who can help people with disabilities adjust to society and improve their quality of life. To this end, they are equipped with clinical techniques, therapeutic skills, counseling skills, and other practical skills necessary to help people regain their physical, psychological, social, and occupational skills.
Promoting sound communication based on heartwarming conversations!
The Department of Speech Therapy fosters speech therapists who can diagnose and discern all types of language and communication problems that people can experience from early childhood to seniorhood and help the affected individuals overcome them.
The department is establishing an education system that focuses on building good character through volunteer activities, providing specialized education through cooperation with the related industry, and promoting the welfare of people with disabilities and members of the local community.
