The philosophy of Sangji University is "True, Creative and Co-Living Intelligence".
This ideology contains all of the most cherished values that we must pursue in our universities. It is about the true life, creative intelligence, and the living intelligence.

Also, the vision of Sangji University is to become a democratic public university. A democratic public university means "The board of directors are composed of persons of the public interest, and the university runs transparently and democratically based on the consultations with members. A university that contributes to the local community and civil society through educational innovation and social cooperation.", which the direction of our university is clearly presented here.

Currently, universities are in a crisis in the rapidly changing environment due to the decrease in the school-age population, the need for digital transformation of universities, and the demand to nurture new talents for the AI. future. This crisis could only be overcome when universities actively respond to the change and willing to practice innovation. Sangji University has always shown it’s potential in times of crisis. We are confident that we will be able to overcome the crisis and continue our progress to reform to a competitive university.

In 2021, Sangji University was selected for the ‘Private School Innovation Support Project’ and ‘Lifelong Education System Support Project’ by the Ministry of Education, as well as the 'Maker Space' by the General Lab of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, and the 'Social Economy Leading University' by the Ministry of Employment and Labor. We put much effort to improve the research and educational environment which aims to improve the quality of education and prepare for the future society, and our efforts are paying off currently.

Now, Sangji University has established cutting-edge departments to nurture talents who are able to lead the rapid social changes in the 21st century and the 4th industrial revolution. Also, we hope to lead the trend of the times by establishing and re-forming the colleges that can respond to the rapid social changes. We are just waiting for the students who are willing to come and grow with us in the same way.

Sangji University aims for a democratic, flexible and open future. As a social cooperation university, we pursue being a university that cooperates with the local community and grows together, and further develops into an educational institution that nurtures global talents who are able to communicate with the world.
